Let’s do this thing, 2017!
Rather than my usual, more verbose post today I’m gonna give you a worksheet.
Here’s a little intro though, since you know I can’t hold myself back from writing:
Guess what! You can build your business without planning. You don’t need to lay this stuff out. Clients will probably still come, your office rent might get paid.
But here’s what I believe is true: you can take a couple hours right now to sit down and plan it and save yourself a ton of stress, tears, and frustration over the course of the year. This also means you’ll be building more solidly and building faster.
If you want to more clients, imagine me sitting across from you right now with a loving and stern look on my face. You deserve to plan. You deserve to have an easier year (‘cause let’s be honest 2016 kicked all our asses in different ways).
Now, print this puppy out or fill it out, save to your computer, and get to writing.
Happy New Year! Now make 2017 awesome.
Allison
P.S. If you want some help with some deeper planning or hand-holding, I’m offering marathon-esque three-hour planning sessions using video conferencing. It’ll be $999. I only have space for 3 people but would love to help you if you need some help. All levels of practice welcome. Email me to set it up.

Thank you, looks like good food for thought.
I hope it’s helpful, Janice!
Thanks for this worksheet, ALLISON! and even more thanks for all the guidance that supported myself and so many others making private practice successful in 2016. the work you do makes such a difference in the world. may 2017 reward you in delicious and surprising ways.
Yay! Thanks, Heidi! 🙂
I look forward to filling this out. It’s always helpful to have something structured to help see how things went in the past year, and to plan for the future. Thank you thank you!
So happy to help!
Thanks, Allison- this worksheet is awesome! Can’t wait to get writing!
Yay! I hope 2017 blows your mind!
I just completed the worksheet and it was as helpful as I hoped it would be. Two huge things happened. 1-I recently have felt like things are moving super slow and that I’ll never actually launch my practice. Reviewing all of the tasks I’ve completed, things I’ve learned, things that have gone well in 2016 gave me perspective on just how much I have done in the past 3 months. this gave me hope about the tasks that lay ahead for me in the next 2 months. 2- I had a huge aha moment about a possible route I can take/ solution I can seek if I run into one of my practical blocks. Thanks, again, Allison!
I just spent some time filling this out and found it really helpful. It made me think a little harder about what was working for me and what wasn’t in terms of referrals, and I had some important realizations. This sheet also helped me be more intentional about goal-setting for 2017 and made me realize some of the goals I had were easier to achieve when i looked at the smaller objectives. This all sounds so obvious, but I really needed this sheet to help me get there! Thanks so much, Allison!
I’m so glad! Way to take action!
