While these websites are subject to issues due to excessive volume/use, here is a continually updated list of resources that we recommend:

  • HIPAA compliant options:
    • Due to COVID-19, The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) “will not impose penalties for noncompliance with the regulatory requirements under the HIPAA Rules against covered health care providers in connection with the good faith provision of telehealth during the COVID-19 nationwide public health emergency.  This notification is effective immediately.” (Notification of Enforcement Discretion for telehealth remote communications during the COVID-19 nationwide public health emergency)
      • This means that virtual communication tools such as Facebook. Skype, and Google Hangouts are compliant during this time.
  • Other apps:
    • EMDR apps:
      • iEMDR ($3.99 download): you see on your screen a ball that moves bilaterally, could be projected to your computer with an AppleTV to give the client more of a radius to watch it.
      • EMDR for clinicians (around the same price $3.99 I think)
    • Virtual Hope Box: free, clients have access to coping cards, pictures that inspire them, and there’s some guiding mindfulness stuff as well
    • Eleos Health
